Changes in the Teltonika Equipment Protocol

We are pleased to announce an update to our Teltonika communication protocol. Locavist users can now utilize the WLN/WLP format for advanced object imports from another software. This enhancement specifically includes support for sensor telemetry and historical records, automatically providing a full overview of your device’s activity directly.

By supporting the WLN/WLP format, Locavist enables a “data logger” style of tracking, which is particularly beneficial when live GSM coverage is unavailable or when migrating existing device data.
Key Benefits of This Update:

Complete Telemetry Import: Beyond just location, this format includes sensor data (such as temperature, fuel levels, etc.). This is critical for industries like the cold chain, where maintaining a sensor history is a legal or quality requirement.

Faster Migration & Setup: Technicians can use these files to “clone” or bulk-upload configurations and historical records, making it easier to switch large fleets over to the Locavist platform, since it no longer requires manual configuration.
We hope these enhancements provide you with greater precision and a more seamless experience on our platform.
