What is Locator?
Locator allows you to generate a unique, time-bound link that provides real-time geolocation of specific objects. Think of it as the professional version of sharing your location via messenger apps. The recipient sees only the map and the specific objects you’ve authorized, no account credentials or sensitive data required.
How to Configure Your First Locator?
The function is live and ready for use. To get started:
Access: Navigate to the Menu tab on the right side of your dashboard at map.locavist.com and select Locator
Creation: Click ADD to open the configuration window.
Customization & Security:
-Unit Selection: Choose exactly which units you wish to display.
-Access Control: Set a precise Expiration Date and Time to ensure the link automatically deactivates when it’s no longer needed.
-Track History: Use the Display Track settings to define a specific start date and time for the visible movement history.
-Data Granularity: At the bottom of the window, you can toggle checkboxes to display specific sensors or additional object information.
Branding & Map Layers: Choose from a variety of map layers to suit the recipient’s needs and even add a custom Advertising Block (HTML) to maintain your brand presence.
Why Use It?
Locator is the perfect tool for logistics coordination, providing delivery transparency to customers, or managing temporary sub-contractors. Once you have tailored the settings to your needs, simply click SAVE, copy the link, and share it.
